The AiD-H14 is our smallest helicopter system with a payload capacity of 6 kg including fuel which gives the AiD-H14 an endurance of up to 3 hours when carrying light payloads weighing not more than 2 kg.
Autopilot & Control
The AiD-H systems can be equipped with 2 different autopilots.
AutoFlight autopilot including Ground Control Station for fully autonomous navigation, mission execution and payload control
FlightAssist stabilization module including a Radio Control Unit for remote controlled stabilized flight within visual range and automatic position hold.
Airframe
The AiD-H14 is built from aircraft grade aluminum and composite materials. Its construction featuring a full metal powertrain gives it a reliability unsurpassed in its class. The main rotor is driven by a sealed, lubricated transmissions with hardened steel gears to ensure reliable system life-long function.
As all our airframes it features an outstanding system to payload weight ratio of 4:3.

Versions
AiD-H14
This is the standard fuselage equipped version of the H14 system for use with standard sensor payloads in commercial and civil applications.
AiD-H14R
Open frame research version of the H14 with only a front canopy housing the UAVs avionics. This concept allows for easy access to scientific subsystems and easy sensor & instrument replacement.
AiD-H14E
Electrically powered version with front canopy only, to save weight and get most endurance from any given battery setup.
AiD-H systems are meant to be a reliable part of your projects. The AiD-H14 is based on a proven airframe which has been in service with companies all over the world for more than 20 years. It combines unequalled high reliability in its class with convenient maintenance intervals of several hundred hours.
System Safety
The autopilot conducts automatic preflight checks, permanently monitors system health and informs the operator instantly if an unusual or critical event is encountered. The autopilot will react
according to the encountered error and enter predefined patterns to recover the failure, return to base or take emergency actions such as activating recovery equipment.
For especially safety critical applications a triple redundant autopilot version can be used to ensure a failsafe standard similar to manned aviation.
Below is a video of the open frame research and development version of the AiD-H14 system. The open frame allows for easy integration and exchange of custom sensors and subsystems. For demonstration purposes it carries a red ballast box.
